Happy Easter!

We spent this past Easter with my Mom and Dad in New Jersey. It was great to be with them for Easter Sunday service this year.

The boys looked very cute in their Easter outfits. Girls tend to have prettier clothes, but I still think my boys look great! It is always challenging to get a "formal" picture of my kids since they have been raised around cameras their entire lives. So this is the best that we got! LOL Christian was NOT in the mood! Ian did great!

My Dad...the very serious attorney...was working really hard to get Christian to smile for the camera! LOL

Ian is so in tune with his brother's emotions. Christian was very grumpy and Ian looked at me and said "Mommy, he just needs a hug." And he was right! What a sweet boy I have!

After the hug and calming down, the boys got down to some playing.

Ian helped set the table for Easter dinner. I'm not sure why he felt that we each needed a tube of hand sanitizer, but we each got one. And we each had a very artfully folded napkin that was held together with a very stylish rubber band!

After dinner, we had our Easter egg hunt. The boys had a lot of fun looking for eggs and even more fun eating the candy that was in them! Sadly, it wasn't very Spring-like! It was pretty chilly outside and very windy! Hence the winter coats!

It was a great Easter and a great way to close out Spring Break! Thanks Dad for taking the family picture for us!

Home Sweet Home

After a very long 12 days, we are finally back home in Akron! I had such a great time at WPPI, but I am also so happy to be home.

We flew back into Dayton on Friday night and then spent the weekend with Shan's family in Northern Kentucky. It was a lot of fun to hang out with Shan's brother Aaron, his wife (and my best friend) Ashley and their boys Peyton and Jackson. Our boys and their boys are very close in age (Peyton-6, Ian-4, Jackson-2, Christian-1) and she is expecting BOY #3 in August! Can you imagine?!?! 5 boys between us!!!! We have decided that Smith men don't make girls! LOL It was also great to hang out with Shan's Mom Vicky and his step-dad Chuck.

We had a wonderful Easter. The weather for church was cool, but sunny. Here are a couple of pictures of Ian and Christian before we went to church.

Christian made it through about 30-40 minutes of church before he got so restless that I had to take him out to the car. Ian did great in church and I was very proud of how quiet and calm he was.

Anyway...I am going to sit on my couch and enjoy the rest of my night...in my house! I love to travel, but sometimes the best part about traveling is coming home!
