Congratulations Ashley!

One advantage to going to Kentucky after Christmas was that we got to see my sister in law, Ashley, graduate from Michael's College of Hair Design.

It has been a long road for Ashley. She started school last November, only to find out a few weeks later that she was pregnant with Tyson. She went to school all the way up until she delivered Tyson, took her maternity leave, and then got right back to it.

I am so proud of her for accomplishing this!! And I am very excited to have her as my stylist now! (I just wish I lived closer so that she could do my hair more often!)

Welcome to the World Ty!

When I learned that we would be traveling to KY for a funeral this past week, I made sure that I told my SIL that now would be a GREAT time to have our nephew! LOL I was present at the birth of their 2nd child, Jackson, and I really wanted to be there to capture Ty's birth as well.

Thankfully, Ty listened to his Mama and Aunt and Ashley went into labor on Tuesday night. She labored all through the night and finally the pain became unbearable. Her contractions were right on top of each other and she called in for the epidural. After the epidural, she was able to rest for a bit, but sadly, her labor stopped. So they had to hook up some Pitocin to get her going again. After a few hours of Pitocin (with it being increased every 15 minutes), she was complete and ready to have a baby!

Tyson Lynn was born at 11:33am and weighed 6 lbs 13.2 oz. Both he and Ashley were fine and it was another amazing experience for me. (I actually was worried that I didn't get anything good because I was crying so hard, I couldn't see through my viewfinder! LOL)

Here Ty gets to meet the rest of his family. Oldest brother Peyton (7) and Older brother Jackson (almost 3) get to meet Ty for the first time. Peyton is completely in love with his new baby brother and constantly asks to hold him.
