Ian's Thanksgiving Feast

Ian's class had their Thanksgiving Feast today at school. I went in to help serve and of course grab a few pictures of my little man.

It was really cute! They had all the Kindergarten kids dressed as pilgrims and all the Pre-K and Preschool kids were dressed as Indians.

This year they themed it based on the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. The kids had bread with butter and jelly, popcorn, pretzels, jelly beans, jello and juice for their feast. Not exactly healthy...but the kids really liked it!

I'm a big boy now!

This post makes me happy and sad at the same time. Christian is growing up so fast! The latest revelation of this is that he no longer wants to sit in his high chair to eat. Now he wants to sit at the "big boy" table with Ian. I grabbed this picture at dinner this past week.

I guess he really is a big boy now!

Fall Boys!

On the last really nice day of Fall this year, I managed to get some images of my boys playing in the leaves. We were hoping to do a Fall family picture, but that just didn't work out this year. Good thing we always do a Christmas picture!

Anyway...here are my boys playing in the newly raked leaves!

Congratulations Jen and Andy!

Jen and Andy were married on November 8th at Fairhope United Methodist Church in Louisville. They had a beautiful ceremony, full of emotion, laughter and tears. Their reception was at the North Canton Civic Center and the party was hopping all night long. Jen and Andy were great to work with and I enjoyed spending time with them. You could feel the love between them all night long and you could tell that their families and friends loved them as well!

Hope you enjoyed their images as much as I enjoyed their wedding!

Nicole and Mike's Engagement Session

I had the honor to work with Nicole and Mike to do their engagement pictures last week. We had beautiful warm weather (which is unheard of for a November day in Ohio!) and the colors in the trees were amazing!

Nicole and Mike are a very fun couple and I know I am going to have a great time doing their wedding next fall!

Gracie is 9 months old!

I can hardly believe this little girl is already 9 months old! She is very sweet and very happy!

Enjoy!

Pumpkin Carving

So the pumkin patch was a fiasco! Luckily, the pumpkin carving went much better!

Christian had a lot of fun watching Shan pull the "guts" out of the pumpkin. At first Ian wouldn't touch it, but he finally warmed up to the idea.

For the first time, I let Ian "design" his pumpkin's face. He wanted to carve it too, but the outside skin of the pumpkins was very hard and I was afraid he would hurt himself with the knife. (It was even hard for me to carve!) But I did let him draw with a crayon on the pumpkin and I followed his design exactly.

Christian scribbled on his pumpkin and then Shan created his own rendition of the face Christian created and carved his pumpkin for him.

And true to the nature of parents, the boys pumpkins were finished that night...and our pumpkins...are still sitting whole and intact in our foyer! LOL

Shan's helping the boys scoop out Ian's pumpkin. (Ian is holding a chinese soup spoon! LOL)

Christian's Pumpkin

Christian was really happy because Shan was tossing a ball with him! LOL (And yes, he isn't wearing shoes, but we were only outside for a little bit! LOL)

Off to the Pumpkin Patch!

I know I have gotten behind on my blogging, but unfortunately, my blog is the last thing on my to-do list. I have had a lot of more pressing things that I have had to focus on lately and I apologize.

So we had planned to go to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins a couple of Sundays ago, but alas, Ian was in a foul mood all day and there was no way I was going to go on a fun trip with him being so ugly to us! So we decided to go after school one that that week.

This was all well and good...except that it took us forever to get out of the house and by the time we got there it was going to close in 30 minutes and a storm was rolling in!

Being the good photographer Mommy that I am, I was determined to get a few nice pictures of my boys sitting with the pumpkins to commemorate our trip. *Sarcasm alert* Boy was that a good idea!!!

Needless to say, I didn't get what I wanted. We ended up with both boys whining, Christian was crying and Shan was holding the video camera and not even attempting to help me! Grrr....(on a side note, we have a pretty funny video of my trying to coerce my children into sitting still, looking at the camera and smiling for me. LOL

So here are a few from our trip to the pumpkin patch. (The one at the top of the post was the ONLY good picture I have of the boys together!)

This is just downright pathetic isn't it! What a horrible Mommy I am for
wanting some nice pictures!

At least Ian smiled for me. (I have about another dozen of him making goofy faces at me! LOL)

Finally Christian stopped crying and here he is telling me "Hi"

One of these days, I will learn that my children just don't want to be photographed and save myself the exasperation of trying to get a good one! LOL
